AUBURN — Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre will hold auditions for the comedy “Almost Maine” at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 29-30, at Great Falls Art Center.

Katie St. Pierre, one of CLT’s newest directors, will direct the play by John Cariani, who is originally from Presque Isle. She made her debut as a director in last season’s “A Christmas Carol the Musical.”

St. Pierre will cast eight adult roles whose exact ages are not a factor.

On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often funny ways.

“It’s funny, romantic, warm, sweet, poignant and witty,” said Mitch Thomas, CLT’s chair of artistic development,

“Almost Maine,” running Feb. 10-19, will be the first play to be performed at what is now CLT’s permanent home at Great Falls Art Center, 30 Academy St.
