AUBURN — Commander-in-Chief Richard L. DeNoyer of the Veterans of Foreign Wars has announced appointment of Arthur J. Roy, past state commander, as national deputy chief of staff.

Roy was recommended for the appointment by Maine VFW Commander Kevin Woodward for his continued work with veterans.

Roy is serving his Auburn VFW Post at 588 Minot Ave. as post commander/adjutant. He is District 9 senior vice commander and Department of Maine assistant membership chairman. Roy lives on Russell Street in Lewiston.
