In other police news, at 10:08 a.m. on Nov. 14 at the intersection of Penobscot Street and Porter Avenue, a 2009 Jeep driven by Walter Jones, 76, of Rumford, collided with a 2002 Hyundai driven by Ashley Hutchinson, 24, of Rumford, police Chief Stacy Carter said Tuesday afternoon.

Carter said Hutchinson’s vehicle was traveling onto Porter Avenue from Penobscot Street when the two vehicles collided.

It wasn’t clear in the police report of the accident if Hutchinson or a passenger complained of pain.

Additionally, there weren’t any damage estimates for either vehicle. Carter said Rumford officers no longer provide that information now that they’re using a new crash report system.

No charges were filed.
