HARTFORD — The Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Center will meet on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. at the Hartford Town Hall, 1190 Main St.

A development circle will explore all things in the psychic, mediumistic and spirit realm. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary. Participants should bring curiosity, willingness to explore and openness to develop inner potential.

Refreshments will be available during breaks, a time of community building and an opportunity to discuss mutual interests in spiritual matters. Participants’ interests will help determine the subjects that will be presented and discussed during future development circles. Each afternoon will end with a devotional service where hands on healing, inspirational talks and greetings from the spirit side of life conclude an uplifting and enlightening day.

Following is the schedule for Sundays in November and December.

Nov. 20: Meditation 101. This brief introduction will present various methods of meditation and teach how to integrate meditation into everyday life. Meditation has been proven to improve many health concerns as well as to reduce emotional and mental stress.

Nov. 27 and Dec. 4: Meet Your Psychic Self. This two-week session begins with an overview of what it means to be psychic. There will then be a guided visualization designed to help participants be in a proper state of mind to exercise their own psychic abilities. Group members will have an opportunity to tap into and practice their own psychic potential individually and in pairs.

Dec. 11: Dowsing. To learn dowsing is to learn one’s self, which is to learn energies, consciousness and spirit. Learn the basics of dowsing for personal use. Learn to find energies around you and physical objects. Bring a personal object such as a crystal or piece of jewelry on a chain or string to use as your dowsing tool and any object to practice on.

Dec. 18: The Man Jesus. Explore the life of Jesus and his contribution to the society he lived in 2000 years ago. Over the years, the world has changed dramatically; yet the human condition and concerns are not much different.

Upcoming topics in 2012 include “The God of Your Understanding” in January, “Mediumship: A Gift of the Spirit” in February and “Energy: The Stuff We Are Made Of” in March.
