LEWISTON — The YWCA of Central Maine will hold their annual Swim-A-Ton from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26. The fundraising goal is $5000.

All ages are invited to participate. Pledge sheets will be available at the YWCA. Swimmers will collect donations or pledges for each lap they swim. Participants are asked to collect pledges and swim anytime between now and Nov. 26.

The community depends on the YWCA pool for exercise, therapy, learning to swim and competitive swimming programming. All proceeds will go to the YWCA operating expenses and help to make the building more energy efficient.

Prizes are awarded to the top three money raisers. First place receives a one-hour splash party for up to 50 people. Second place receives a three-month Y-Wide membership. Third place receives four family passes to Magic Y-World. Every swimmer with a pledge of $50 will receive a YWCA swim pass.

Volunteers are welcome to help count laps for swimmers.
