LISBON — Police say two drivers escaped injury when their vehicles collided Thursday afternoon on Route 196.

Officer Richard St. Amant identified the drivers as Matthew Clark, 50, of Lisbon Falls and Roger Fillion, 56, of Lewiston.

He said Clark pulled out of a driveway into the westbound lane and stopped to make a left turn. Fillion, who was driving in the westbound lane, was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision, he said.

Damage was estimated at $1,400 to Clark’s 2000 GMC pickup and at $4,000 to Fillion’s 1996 Geo two door in the 4:39 p.m. crash. No charges were filed.
