Good news for the Bulldogs: They’ll be an odds-on favorite to return to Fitzpatrick Stadium in 2012. Bad news: So will Cheverus.

5 Thornton 9-2

If you watched any part of Saturday’s Class A final, you have to give mad props to any team that could shut out Cheverus in the first half of a regional championship game.

6. Mt. Blue 11-1

Sorry to break it to the rest of PTC ’B,’ but your league will be the Cougars’ and Hornets’ personal playground again next fall.

7. Yarmouth 12-0

Coach Jim Hartman knows there’s some rebuilding ahead. He also knows that the 2010-11 Clippers were one of the greatest Class C teams ever, and you should too.

8. Bangor 8-3

Rams lacked consistency in 2011, but there is no lack of sophomore and junior playmakers itching for 2012 to begin.

9. Mountain Valley 9-2
