BETHEL — A local man was injured and trapped in his pickup truck when it rolled over on Vernon Street late Monday evening.
Harold Clough, 36, of Bethel, drove into the oncoming lane and overcorrected, causing his 2003 Dodge Ram to roll over, Oxford County Sheriff’s Deputy Matthew Noyes said.
The pickup landed on the driver’s side, Noyes said. Emergency responders, including the Bethel Rescue and Fire Department, had to take extra precautions while extricating Clough because of his position in the truck, Noyes said.
Clough was conscious when Noyes arrived at the scene, the deputy said, but became unresponsive at one point during the rescue. He later regained consciousness before being brought to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway with lacerations to the head, Noyes said.
Clough was treated and released Monday night, a Stephens Memorial nursing supervisor said.
