AUBURN — Emilienne “Emily” Blanchette, 93, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Clover Manor, where she had been a resident since April 2007.

She was born in Auburn, Sept. 23, 1918, the daughter of Albert and Aurore (Levesque) Godin. She attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1937. She was married Aug. 4, 1947, to Andre Blanchette, who passed away in January 1994.

She worked as a store clerk at Senter’s prior to marriage and later at Peck’s part-time when her children were older. She enjoyed being a homemaker, sewing and craft projects and tending to her plants and flowers.

She is survived by two sons, Robert and wife, Frances and Ronald and wife, Deborah Blanchette, both of Lewiston; two daughters, Constance and husband, Robert Gagnon and Patricia and husband, Roger Champagne, both of Auburn; one brother, Richard Godin of Lewiston; one sister, Theresa Chamaillard of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Mary Godin; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Emilien and Wilfred Godin; and a grandson, Mark Blanchette.
