Lewiston Middle School Blue Demons Tier I B team downed Greely, 5-4, in the first-ever game for an LMS team in the ‘B’ non-checking division of the Southern Maine Middle School Hockey League.

The Demons only had nine skaters that shared lots of ice time. The Demons were led by Caden Smith and Alex Robert with two goals and one assist each. Hunter Steele added a goal ,with John Mathon chipping in with an assist. Jacob Smith and Travis Lepage split time between the pipes to preserve the win.

LMS Lady Demons won their second game of the season, defeating Auburn Lady Jr. Eddies, 6-1. Kaylee Younk led the Lady Demons with two goals. Jordan Mynahan added a goal and an assist. Katie Lemieux, Angel Drouin and Brittany Foley had a goal apiece. Emma Theriault and Corrine completed the scoring each with one helper. Katya Fons had the lone tally for Auburn. Melissa Gooselin was in net for Auburn. Payton Winslow anchored the win, stopping eight of nine shots for the Lady Demons.

Robert broke a 3-3 tie with less than four minutes remaining in the game to secure the victory.

LMS got out to an early two-goal lead in the first period with a pair of goals by Caden Smith and never trailed. Greely tied the game twice but was unable to take the lead.
