Dirigo High School Student Council members decorated their annual Giving Tree in the Dixfield office Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore Lindsy Crutchfield, senior Ben Holmes and senior Alyssa Wade work on the tree. The dozens of brightly colored Christmas ornaments, each with a number corresponding to a K-5 child in the region who needs gifts for the holiday, will be chosen by high school students or homerooms who will then purchase the gifts. All gifts must be back at the school by Dec. 16. The Student Council is also conducting its annual Dirigo Warms Up coat drive. Anyone in the community may drop off new or lightly worn coats at the high school office.
