LEWISTON — Out of the Box Theater Company received Honorable Mention for its 2011 production of “Hamlet” at the New England Theatre Conference held Nov. 19 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Natick, Mass.
OOTB, formed three years ago, won the prestigious Moss Hart Memorial Award in 2010 for “Death of a Salesman” and in 2009 for “Medea.” The annual award honors the memory of Moss Hart, dramatist and director, for his wit and sensitivity, enthusiasm for life and work in the theater.
This marks the third consecutive year NETC has recognized the young theater.
The three plays were directed by Linda Britt.
Britt will direct her original play, “Chosen: Adoption Stories” January 21-22 and 28-29 at the Unitarian-Universalist Church.
