NORWAY — Norway Public Library has planned exciting events during the month of December for elementary students. Programs require preregistration, so call the library today at 743-5309, ext. 4.

Dec. 5: “Hansel and Gretel” at 3:15 p.m. Storytelling and make a candy house to take home.

Dec. 8: Letters to Santa at 3:15. Crayons, markers, paper and stickers will be provided to write a letter to Santa. The library will provide a North Pole Express mailbox so that Santa is sure to get them. Responses from Santa will be available the following week to pick up.

Dec. 9: Holiday party at 6 p.m. During the library’s annual holiday party there will be crafts for kids in the children’s room.

Dec. 12: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer at 3:15 p.m. Participants will play reindeer games, make reindeer crafts and share reindeer stories. All reindeer lovers are invited to join the fun.

Dec. 20: “Herschel and the Hanukah Goblins” at 3:15 p.m. Stories about Hanukah including “Herschel and the Hanukah Goblins.” Children will make goblins and dreidels to take home and play with.

Dec. 22: “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” at 3:15 p.m. Listen to this classic tale (as well as a few funny variations of it). Make a mouse ornament to hang on the Christmas tree. Participants will be able to decorate Christmas cookies to eat as a snack.
