LEWISTON — Rudy R. Sirois, 61, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side. He was a resident of Plymouth Avenue in Rumford.

He was born in Van Buren, March 14, 1950, a son of Fernand and Theresa (Gagnon) Sirois. He attended Van Buren schools. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1973. He was a sexton and custodian for Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius–St. John Church in Rumford.

Rudy was a communicant of the Parish of The Holy Savior, St. Athanasius–St. John Church. He was a member of the Napoleon Ouellette Post 24 American Legion. He was a former Boy Scout leader and was an avid Patriot fan. He enjoyed socializing with his family and enjoyed his grandchildren and would always be seen with a smile on his face. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was married in Mexico, July 4, 1970, to Sharon Petrie, who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include two sons, Scott and his wife, Katie and Kevin and his wife, Jessica, of Rumford; a daughter, Michelle Oakley of Rumford; four sisters, Carol Carbonneau and her husband, Marc, of Lewiston, Mona Gagnon and her husband, Howard, of Waterville, Nora Andersen and her husband, Larry, of Prattville, Ala., and Evelyn Shoen and her husband, Tom, of New York; and grandchildren, Julia, Hunter, Vincent, Bradley, Keegan and Madilynn.

He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond; and a granddaughter, Ella Oakley.
