FAYETTEVILLE — U.S. Army Ret. 1st Sgt. Ronald Eugene St. Pierre Sr., 67, of Fayetteville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

He was born in Lewiston on Dec. 13, 1943, to the late Theodore J. St. Pierre and Edythe Arris St. Pierre.

He was a Vietnam War veteran with five tours in a hostile area, receiving the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, and 13 Air Medals, plus several other personal and unit awards. He was also a civilian contractor, supporting military operations in Iraq.
