LITCHFIELD — The Smithfield Plantation Board of Trustees meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Litchfield Town Office.

Eastern Star

AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter 26 Order of the Eastern Star will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.

The chapter will be celebrating Christmas joy. Members are to bring filled Christmas stockings for Officer Poulin to take to children. All Eastern Star members are welcome.

Refreshments will be served in the dining hall following the meeting.

Duplicate bridge

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 29 were as follows: first, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; second, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; third, Jeanine Kivus and Luke Merry; fourth and fifth tie, Nancy Lindgren and Anna Vitiello with Roger Labbe and Larry Fortier; first in B, Roger Labbe and Larry Fortier; second, Lue Bilodeau and Alberta Turner.

Winners at Schooner Estates on Nov. 30 were: first: Les Buzzell and John Hackett; second, Sherrie Hinckley and Fred Letourneau.

DAR meeting

SABATTUS – Burnt Meadow Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will gather at the home of Jayne Bickford at noon Saturday, Dec. 10, for their Christmas potluck luncheon. The meeting, with the committee chairmen’s reports, will follow. A gift exchange will be enjoyed after the meeting.

The chapter will be recessed for the months of January and February and resume meetings on March 10.
