WEEKI WACHEE, Fla. — Earle H. Jordan Jr., (Lt. Col. retired), 94, born in Auburn, died in Weeki Wachee, Fla., Dec. 3.

He was born Oct. 4, 1917, to Earle and Carrie Jordan. Earle received his MS and BS degrees in education from the Maine University system.

Earle served in World War II, Korea and is a survivor of the Chosen Resivoire Battle. Earle was awarded the nations second highest award for valor, The Distinguished Service Cross, also two Bronze Stars, The Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge with one Star.

Earle was a member of The Legion of Valor, VFW, The Retired Officer’s Association, The Chosen Few and The BPOE.

Earle is survived by his wife, Gail, of Weeki Wachee, Fla.; his son, Earle H. “Trey” Jordan III of Brooksville, Fla.; three stepsons, Mark Arias of Jacksonville, Fla., David Arias of Birmingham, Ala., and John Arias of Port Richey, Fla.; one brother, Laurence of Poland; and one sister, Janice Clark of Auburn.
