LEWISTON — On Saturday, Dec. 10, from noon to 5 p.m., downtown Lisbon Street will be filled with holiday cheer. The first Festival of Art & Lights will feature 14 locations and 38 high-quality artisans selling jewelry, scarves, pottery, wood working, fine art, lamps, photography, wreaths and more.

There will be activities for children, such as snow painting, weather-permitting, and snowflake making. Santa will be on hand for photos.

Mellow jazz, an afternoon wine tasting and chair massages will be offered for adult shoppers.

Two large gift boxes containing artwork and gift certificates will be raffled at the end of the day. One is for those spending between $50 and $200; the other for those spending more than $200.

During this summer’s Art Walks, hundreds of people shared a sense of community while viewing the creativity of local artists. The Festival of Art & Lights is building on that community and joy of art, says organizers of the event hosted by L/A Arts, Lewiston Auburn Magazine, Captive Elements Art House and the Lewiston Public Library.
