AUBURN — Florence M. Chadis, 88, of Montello Heights, 550 College St., Lewiston, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

Florence was born in New York City, N.Y., Oct. 9, 1923, daughter of the late Nathan Cohen and Lillian Forgash. She was married to Morris Chadis, who predeceased her March 12, 1996.

Florence moved with her daughter, Bonnie and son-in-law, Kevin to Maine from New Jersey four years ago and enjoyed living at Montello Heights in Lewiston. She also loved spending spending leisurely days at her daughter’s home on Annebessacook Lake. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Nina Wexler of Connecticut, and Bonnie McHugh and husband, Kevin, of Winthrop; three grandchildren, Michael Greengarten, Justin and Gene Wexler; and son-in-law, Karl Wexler.

Her family extends a special thank-you to all the “Angels” at the Androscoggin Hospice House.
