Square dance

PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will have its annual Teddy Bear Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Oxford Hills Middle School, 100 Pine St. The event is to support Right Start For Kids, a program of Community Concepts in the Oxford Hills area. Donations of stuffed toys will be gratefully accepted.

Al Hipkins, who is club caller for Twin Cities Spinners Square Dance Club of Lewiston-Auburn, will be calling a mixture of class level and mainstream square dancing. Carol Stewart will cue the rounds. Refreshments will be served at intermission. There will be door prizes and a Pot O’ Gold drawing. Admission is $6 per person. Non-dancers are welcome at no charge.

Open house

NORWAY — Responsible Pet Care Shelter and Adoption Center and Pawsibilities Thrift Shoppe will hold a Christmas open house from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17 and 18. The shelter and shop are at 132 Waterford Road.

There will be door prizes, refreshments, cats, kittens and dogs. Attendees are asked to bring donations for the Santa Box.

Santa breakfast

OXFORD — “Breakfast with Santa” is returning to Oxford Hills. Santa and his elves will provide food, music and fun beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17 and 18, at the Oxford Pizza Hut. Adults can eat for $6, and children 12 and under can eat for $4. Reservations are required; call Karen DuBois at 539-4217.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Maine Heart Gallery, overseen by Second Best Ministries of Oxford. The Heart Gallery displays photos of children awaiting adoption in Maine, and many of these photos are shown in the 26 Pizza Huts across Maine.

Niche pantry

WEST PARIS — The Neighborhood Niche Food Pantry will be open from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at West Paris Baptist Church, 15 Church St.

West Paris residents are invited to come once a month.

The pantry is open from 1 to 3 p.m. the first Wednesday and from noon to 2 p.m. the third Saturday of each month.

Annual cantata

LOCKE MILLS — The annual Christmas Cantata, Sing and Shout for Joy, will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at the Locke Mills Union Church. Beverly Melville is the director of a choir of community churches. Refreshments to follow.
