Bob Macdonald is running for the wrong office if he believes he will end welfare as we know it and bring a moratorium on low income housing. He should instead run for the Legislature or Congress.

As mayor he would be powerless to do anything he has claimed, and is merely preying on people’s fears. I was on the police department with Macdonald and I know him all too well.

Mark Paradis is a voice of reason and civility. He was my opponent in the last mayoral election and shortly after the election I appointed him to the Finance Committee. I have also served with him on the city council and the Downtown Advisory Board. He has the interest of Lewiston at heart.

Paradis has my vote for mayor as I firmly believe he is the best candidate.
