LISBON FALLS — On Nov. 9, the Lisbon Historical Society hosted historian and author, Dr. Nicholas Smith, of Brunswick. Smith gave an enlightening presentation of the time he spent living amongst the Cree Indians of Lake Mistassini, Quebec.

It was an insight to his recently published book “Three Hundred Years in Thirty.” The book includes many photos of the Cree Indians, some of which were on display for the presentation. A book signing and refreshments concluded the event.

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, the society will hold its annual Christmas party for members and guests. The Lisbon Historical Society is located at the MTM Center, 18 School St. For more information, contact Dorothy Smith at 353-8510, visit lisbonmainehistory.org or email LHS.2011@yahoo.com.
