Coach: Mike Hathaway (fourth year)

Last year’s record: 14-5, lost in Western Class B quarterfinal

Returning players: Seniors — Jordan Hersom (6-4 forward), Tim Dow (6-3 guard), Tyler Walton (5-11 guard), Greg Lake (6-2 forward), Dustin Collins (6-4 forward); Sophomores — Andrew Middleton (6-5 guard), Zac Goulette (6-0 guard).

Key losses: Lucas Witham, Kyle Smith, Matt Janosco, Devin Long, Tyler Allen.

Promising newcomers: Seniors — Tom Hite (6-3 forward), Jared Richardson (5-10 guard), Isaiah McGee (5-9 guard); Junior — Drew Child (6-3 forward); Sophomores — Levi Morin (6-2 forward), Sam Green (6-0 guard), Tylon Crockett (6-0 forward), Matt Powell (6-7 forward), Nate Coombs (5-9 guard); Freshman — Austin Anderson (6-0 guard).

Outlook: On the heels of a year that produced the most wins in school history, Leavitt could challenge for the KVAC and Western Class B titles. Dow, Hersom and Walton are four-year varsity players, while Lake played in the regular rotation last year. Middleton and Goulette had great offseasons. Middleton’s size makes him difficult for defenses to handle on the wing. Leavitt will flaunt a solid eight- man rotation and will be in the mix with Medomak Valley and perennial power Camden Hills at the top of the league.

Coach’s comment: “I think we fit right in (with the top teams). We have size and athleticism to rebound and play defense, and we can score.” — Coach Mike Hathaway
