AUBURN — Pauline T. Irish, 65, of Auburn, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 9, 1946, daughter of Marcel and Doris (Leclerc) Leblond. She attended school in Auburn and later worked at various jobs before meeting the love of her life, James Irish. They were married on May 23, 1970, and lived in Laconia, N.H., for a short time before returning to Auburn, where they raised their young family.
She was a great homemaker and there was never a baby that she met that didn’t love her. She liked going to Popham Beach, fishing, snowmobiling, spending time at camp and traveling, especially to Disney World. She also liked doing puzzles with her mother, plastic canvases and needlepoint. Whenever she had time, she loved spending it with her husband on wood working projects.
Pauline is survived by her husband, James Irish of 41 years; her mother, Doris Leblond; her daughter, Tina Wright and husband, William; her son, Michael Irish and wife, Sandra; three grandsons, Troy Leeman, Cameron and Connor Irish; her brother, Leo Leblond and wife, Pauline; her sister, Rachael Talarico and husband, Kris; her sister-in-law, Mary Arnott and husband, William; her brother-in-law, Thomas Simpson; friend, Phyllis Quinn; and nine nieces and nephews, who were all special to her in their own way.
She was predeceased by her father, Marcel Leblond; her sister, Madeline Simpson; and a niece, Sara Sutherland.
The family would like to thank Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Maine Med Partners Women’s Health for their care and compassion.
