Key losses: Matt Archer (285).

Promising newcomers: Junior — Travis Stuard (195);  Freshman — Tyler Craig (106).

Outlook: Although numbers are down a bit, the Cougars hope to take the next step from regional to state champions. The roster is strong up to 170, with Newbill, Moore, Hyde and Blanchet all placing in the top four at states last year and Ingram a state qualifier. Metcalf and Newbill have placed at states twice. Craig will be one of the top freshmen in the state, while Stuard returns after moving away for a year.
