Promising newcomers: Freshmen — Taylor Bergeron, Jacqueline Schmitz, Kymberlee Johnson.

Outlook: There is no doubt the Saints lost the backbone of their state title team, with its so-called “big three” all graduating or moving on. There is a good core of players remaining from last year’s run to the title, but it will be hard for them to duplicate what happened a year ago with the lack of obvious firepower. That said, by the end of the season, don’t be surprised to see the Saints clamoring for a playoff berth.
