I hope citizens of Lewiston go to the polls on Dec. 13 with a positive attitude toward the future of our community.

As a resident of Lisbon Street, I see the blossoming activity in our downtown. It energizes me every day. New businesses. New residents. New activities. New ideas. Living and working in downtown Lewiston is exciting.

Lewiston-Auburn is carving its own niche as a creative, multi-cultural center. The growing richness of diversity and small businesses in the heart of our community benefits the entire region.

We need leaders who value all cultures, small business development, and collaboration within and among our neighbors.

Negativity breeds negativity. Lewiston-Auburn is over that phase. I will vote for Mark Paradis, as a mayor who embraces the changes and wants to work with all of the people who are making things happen.

I see a bright, exciting future for Lewiston and Auburn.
