LEWISTON — Tom and Diane Avery of Lewiston are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Heather Avery, to Nick Langlais, son of Richard and Susan Langlais of Lewiston.

Miss Avery is a 2006 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2010 graduate of Central Maine Community College with an associate degree for medical assistant. She is employed at Central Maine Medical Center as a medical assistant in Lewiston.

Mr. Langlais is a 2005 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Maine with a master’s degree in civil engineering. He is employed as a geotechnical engineer at AMEC in Portland.

An October wedding is planned.
