KAUAI, Hawaii — Priscilla and Kendall Bean of Rangeley and Dale and Kim White of Phillips, are happy to announce the marriage of their daughter, Heather L. White, to Dr. James P. DeCourcey of Portland.

The bride and bridegroom were wed in a private sunset ceremony on June 6 on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, at St. Regis Princeville Resort. The couple spent two weeks in Hawaii visiting other islands for their honeymoon. A small reception was held at the Black Point Inn in Scarborough upon their return.

The bride grew up in Phillips and is a graduate of Mt. Abram High School. She attended the University of Maine at Farmington and Central Maine Medical Center’s School of Radiologic Technology. She currently works as a CT scan technologist at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Portland High School. He later attended the University of Southern Maine and University of New England Medical School. He completed his internship at Berkshire Medical Center, a residency in anesthesia at Penn State, followed by a pediatric anesthesia fellowship at the Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colo. He is currently a partner with Spectrum Medical Group’s anesthesia division. His parents are Verna DeCourcey of South Portland and Joseph and Elizabeth DeCourcey of Portland.

The couple currently resides in Falmouth.
