WILTON — Public memorial services for Ruth Estella York of Wilton, who died on Nov. 24, were held Saturday from the First Congregational Church, (UCC) with the Rev. Karen A. Janus, interim minister, officiating. Mary M. Ryan was the organist. Scripture readings included 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 and John 14:1-14. The church choir sang “On Eagle’s Wings.” The congregation hymns included “In The Garden,” “His Eye is on the Sparrow” and “Amazing Grace.” Following services, the women’s fellowship hosted a reception in the church vestry. Committal services were previously held at the burial at Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements by Wiles Remembrance Center.
