LEWISTON — Jeannine Jeanne d’Arc Caron, 80, formerly of 162 Bartlett St., died quietly late Sunday, Dec. 11, at d’Youville Pavilion with family at her side.

She was born in Riviere du Loup, P.Q., Canada, Jan. 7, 1931, a daughter of Wilfred and Alexandra (Pelletier) Boilard. Jeannine was married to Patrick Caron Sr., who predeceased her in 1981.

She worked many years in local shoe shops and was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and a longtime and active member of the Pine St. Social Club. Jeannine loved her pet birds, which she had for many years and was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and a collector of Elvis memorabilia. She was a loving, devoted and hard-working wife, mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed.

She leaves two grandsons, Joel Caron and his children, Emelia and Patrick of Bowdoin and Tim Caron and wife, Janelle and their children, Bryant, Jacob and Alexandra of West Hartford, Conn.; two granddaughters, Lynn Harriman and her children, Heather and Jessy of Livermore Falls and Michelle Washburn of Lewiston; three nieces, Sandra Dube, Jane Cote, both of Lewiston and Kim Ogden of Poland; and a daughter-in-law, Erma Caron of Jay.

Jeannine was predeceased by her husband, Patrick J. Caron Sr.; her son, Patrick O. Caron Jr.; and a niece, Kathy Ann Spaulding.
