KINGFIELD – The Kingfield POPS has created three Christmas offerings that make terrific gifts and also support community efforts to bring fine live music to the area and to the schools.

Gift certificates for a pair of tickets to the next Kingfield POPS concert are available for $40 at Tranten’s and the Camden National Bank in Kingfield and Farmington, and also at the Sugarloaf Ski Shop at Sugarloaf.

The 2012 concert, which will take place on June 30 at the Kennedy Farm in Kingfield, will feature the Bangor Symphony Orchestra conducted by Grammy winner Lucas Richman, and a special guest: the legendary folk singer, Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary.

The POPS is also raffling off three handcrafted sleds made by Lincoln Canoe and Kayak. The brightly colored, super-fast sleds are valued at $150. Raffle tickets are $5 each or $20 for five, available at the same locations as the gift certificates. The drawing will take place on Dec. 21.

Finally, the POPS is also making it possible this year for supporters to give a donation of any amount as a Christmas gift. Interested person should email [email protected] with details. Recipients will receive a holiday card noting the donation and the person responsible for the gift.
