MEXICO — The Women’s Fellowship of the Mexico Congregational Church, UCC (the “Green Church”) held their annual Christmas banquet and party on Dec. 13. A roast pork dinner was served, followed by games and the singing of Christmas carols.

On Sunday, Dec. 18, the Sunday School will present a nativity pageant during the 10 a.m. worship service. A rehearsal for the pageant will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, at 9:30 a.m. All of the Sunday School children are asked to attend.

In preparation for the Christmas Eve service, a choir rehearsal will be held at the church at 3 p.m. on Thursdays, Dec. 15 and 22. Cindy Christie will have a rehearsal at her home on Fourth Street at 7 p.m. on Dec. 15 for those who are unable to attend in the afternoon.

The annual midnight Christmas Eve service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 24, beginning at 11 p.m. There will be traditional Christmas carols and special music by the choir, selections by lay readers and a message from Pastor Izzie Radford-Nash. The service will end with candle lighting and everyone singing “Silent Night.” All in the community are invited to attend this service.
