NORWAY — Doris M. Waterhouse, 78, of West Paris, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Woodstock, March 26, 1933, to Lamont Toothaker and Arlene (Smith) Cummings. She attended various schools in the area. On June 18, 1950, she married Lloyd Waterhouse. For many years, she worked as a housekeeper at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway as well as at Penley’s and Mann’s Mill.

She was a member of Gracefellowship Church in Oxford and the Ladies for God. She had served as Den Mother for the Boy Scouts. She looked forward to going to the Allagash with her husband, Lloyd every year. Doris loved feeding the birds and especially loved seeing the Baltimore Orioles and Cardinals. She liked horses, enjoyed watching the Red Sox, stock car racing and raced in the powder puff and demolition derby, where she was known as “Hot Dot.”

Doris is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lloyd Waterhouse; three sons, Kevin Waterhouse and wife, Elaine, of West Paris, Gary Waterhouse and partner, Bonnie, of West Paris and Fred Waterhouse and companion, Becky, of Norway; daughter, Gail Boutilier and partner, Roger, of West Paris; stepmother, Ruth “Nana” Toothaker; brothers, Garfield Toothaker of Gorham, Dickie Toothaker of Weld and Eddie Toothaker of Fryeburg; sisters, Pat Smith of China and Carol Parisi; grandchildren, Shanda Record, Tammy Hinckley, Angela Dow, Kevin Vezina, Troy Vezina, Jennifer Waterhouse, Deanna Waterhouse, Amey Lewin, Misty Coffin, Devin Coffin, Beth Coffin and Shawn Boutilier; great-grandchildren, Desarea, Kristy-Lee, Billy Sammie, Kaylee, Quentin, Derrick, Kevin, Natasha, Dustin, Jessica, Melissa, Justice, Ashley, Waken, Daeson, Dakovin and Gage; great-great-grandchild, Owen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Cliff Cummings; sister, Ellie Witham; and foster mother, Dorothy Putnam.
