LEWISTON — A memorial Mass honoring the life of Lennie R. Asselin was celebrated on Thursday at Holy Cross Church following prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. Monsignor Marc Caron celebrated the Mass and Deacon Dean Lachance recited committal prayers at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. During the Mass, words of remembrance were expressed by Mr. Asselin’s good friend, Mark Plummer. Following the committal prayers, the U.S. Army played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Mr. Asselin’s wife, Denise Asselin. A reception of fellowship was held at the Chickadee Restaurant in Lewiston following the services at the cemetery. Arrangements by the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home.
