FARMINGTON — Franklin County commissioners will hold a public hearing Tuesday on a proposed $1 million budget to cover the unorganized territory in Franklin County in 2012-13.

The spending plan reflects a $40,702 increase over the current $969,823 budget.

Commissioner Gary McGrane requested a change of time for the commission’s meeting, County Clerk Julie Magoon said.

The hearing will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 20 at the commissioners office at the Franklin County Superior Courthouse.

After the hearing, Bunker & Savage Architects will make a presentation on turning part of the jail into a dispatch center.

Commissioners will also consider a new hire for sheriff’s deputy, part-time appointments and vehicle bids.

Sheriff Dennis Pike also plans to propose a promotion.
