AUBURN — The story of “The Ugly Duckling” will be brought to life by Edward Little High School’s drama club with its production of “Honk!” on Jan. 6-7.

The beloved children’s tale of the duckling that is poked fun of by fellow ducks in the yard because it is different will be presented as a musical. The family-oriented production emphasizes the lesson that it is OK to be different and that people should accept others and their differences.

High-school students involved in the production are Ben Davis, Ashley DeBlois, Jordan Richmond, Duncan Gelder, Nika Faulkner, Cam Gelder, Dylan Aspinall, Conner Stange, Keegan Kane, Paige Weber, Ally LaVerdiere, Lydia Cox, Josh Barnhard, Owen Kane, Isabella Earle, Jacinta Hinckley and Abby Alaimo.

The show will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, and at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Community Little Theatre on Academy Street.

Tickets are $8, $5 for students or $25 for a family with two or more children. Anyone bringing a donation of food and such for the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society will receive a $1 discount. Tickets will be sold at the door.
