LEWISTON — Central Maine Credit Union, 1000 Lisbon St., Lewiston, announces that Karen Giguere has been named Central Maine Credit Union’s 2011 Employee of the Year.

Giguere has been employed by the credit union since 2007 as a member service representative. She was selected for her pleasing personality, her knowledge of the responsibilities of the Member Services Department and her exceptional service to members. She exemplifies a strong work ethic and is a role model for her coworkers.

In addition to providing exceptional service to Central Maine Credit Union members, she also participates in many community activities, including the March of Dimes Walk, the American Heart Walk, Relay for Life Cancer Event and fundraising for Ending Hunger in Maine Campaign.

Giguere lives in Auburn with her husband and their son.
