Tara Tucker of Auburn sits with her sons, Legacy, 4, and Travon, 3, as they work on an iPad literacy app at the School Comes to You Family Literacy Night at the Auburn Public Library, part of the Barbara Bush Foundation’s Maine Family Literacy Initiative. Families participated in a dinner with the theme, “The Alphabet Is Everywhere.” Parents helped children decorate photo frames with the alphabet and children were given the book “Alphabet City” by Stephen Johnson to take home. The School Comes to You literacy nights take place once a month.
