LEWISTON – Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice is offering programs this winter to provide information and support to adults and youth in central and western Maine grieving the death of a loved one.

Program sessions help participants understand the grief process, share feelings and experiences and find hope and comfort. All programs are led by trained bereavement volunteers and/or professional grief facilitators and are offered at no cost to participants.

Lewiston/Auburn: The adult program Guidance through Grief will be offered in both Lewiston and Auburn from Jan. 17 through March 6. Auburn sessions will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays.  Lewiston sessions, co-sponsored with Central Maine Medical Center, will take place Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The Bereavement After Suicide Group, for adults, will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month, beginning Jan. 9.

The Program for Grieving Children and Teens for youths age 3 to 18 years old will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 17 through March 20.

Wilton: The Program for Grieving Children and Teens will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 12 through March 15.

Bridgton: Pathways through Grief, for adults, will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays from Jan. 18 through March 7.

Norway: Pathways through Grief will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, from Jan. 18 through March 7.
