DICKERSON, Md. — The wedding of Lesley Simek Lane and Marc Amnott was held at 5 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the Comus Inn in Dickerson, Md. The Rev. John Cherry officiated at the ceremony.
The celebration began Friday evening with dinner for their guests at O’Donnell’s Seafood in Gaithersburg, Md. The outside wedding ceremony overlooked Sugarloaf Mountain and fall flowers decorated the ceremony area.
Mrs. Amnott is the daughter of Jeff and Nancy Lane of Flemington, N.J. Mr. Amnott is the son of Paul and Connie Amnott of Auburn.
Katherine Metzler, childhood friend, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lydia Buschenfeldt and Lindsay London, college friends.
Serving as best man for his friend was Matthew Auger. Ushers were Scott Amnott, brother of the bridegroom, and Gregory Lane, brother of the bride.
A reception followed at the Comus Inn, after which the couple traveled to St. Michaels, Md. The couple is residing in Montgomery Village, Md.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va., where she received a bachelor’s degree. She is employed as a teacher in the Montgomery County Public School System.
The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Quinnipiac University, where he received a bachelor’s degree. He received a master’s degree in 2005 from Quinnipiac University and is a teacher in the Montgomery County Public School System.
