AUBURN — Maurice Irenee Denis, 89, known to his friends and loved ones as “Denny,” passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 23, at the Androscoggin Hospice House.

He was born July 21, 1922, in Lewiston, to Donat and Alphonsine (Lajoie) Denis.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Yvette (nee Duchesneau) Denis; three sons; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
