WATERVILLE, Maine (AP) — Police say the Maine Warden Service is completing large-scale search operations for a missing 20-month-old girl in Waterville.

As the investigation into the disappearance of Ayla Reynolds nears the end of day 12, Waterville Police Chief Joseph Massey says searches of many areas are being repeated so no evidence of Ayla’s disappearance will be missed.

In addition to the area searches, wardens have also conducted a large number of targeted searches. Wardens will continue to be available as necessary for future searches. Massey says police have received 370 leads in the case.

On Wednesday, Ayla’s father, Justin DiPietro, released a new statement thanking everyone involved in the search and the central Maine community for offering a $30,000 reward for Ayla’s return.

DiPietro says he believes Ayla is with somebody.
