AUBURN — Thomas R. Berry, 77, of North Turner, passed away at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Sunbury, Pa., Oct. 22, 1934, the son of the late George and Neta (Leighow) Berry. On Nov. 12, 1955, he married the love of his life, Beverly Hutchins. In 1964, they moved their young family from Harrisburg, Pa., to the state of Maine. They made their home in North Turner, where they worked and lived to the present time.

Thomas worked for The Callahan Construction Co. for 35 years as a finish carpenter. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting rabbits, deer and pheasants, fishing and anything involved with the outdoors and he even built his own home. He took great pride in his home spending a great deal of time taking care of his property.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly Berry; two sons, Daniel Berry and his wife, Julie, of North Turner and their children, Thomas and Travis and Richard Berry and his partner, Duane McKinney, of Mount Wolfe, Pa.; his daughter-in-law, Sydney of Dillsburg Pa.; and Richard and Sydney’s children, Sarah and Karley.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Dolores Crawford; and his aunts and uncles.
