AUBURN — Owner/stylist Linda Thompson announces the recent opening of Urban Edge Hair Studio, 1117 Center St., Auburn.

With more than 14 years’ experience in the salon industry, Thompson specializes in hair cutting, razor cuts, coloring, dimensional coloring, perming and waxing. Also a nail technician, Thompson provides manicures, still water pedicures, acrylic nails and Shellac manicures.  

Thompson has five years of exclusive Goldwell Experience and Goldwell ColorZoom advanced hair color training, and has attended numerous regionwide beauty expos.  She also offers Ysea ammonia-free color, made with three different plant oils, direct from Paris. Urban Edge Hair Studio is one of the only Goldwell and Ysae providers in Central Maine. In addition, Urban Edge offers tanning facilities.

A native of North Conway, N.H., Thompson spent the past seven years as a senior stylist and colorist at Maggio Hair Studio in Conway, N.H.  She attended Pierre’s School of Beauty in Portland in 1997.

Urban Edge Hair Studio is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.;  Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  To schedule an appointment or to inquire about evening appointments, call 784-3522. Walk-ins are also welcome.
