I wish Beth Bell good luck upon her appointment as Androscoggin County Commissioner.

It would have been an honor to be chosen by Gov. Paul LePage, but as an Olympia Snowe Democrat, I knew that I was a long shot among the declared candidates.

I appreciate the courtesy shown by the governor’s staff.

It was a surprise that the governor chose from a secret list for a public office.

The people of Auburn, Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland deserve to know who will represent them.
