FARMINGTON – Rebecca Ryder, president/CEO of Franklin Community Health Network, along with Gilly Hitchcock, vice chairwoman of the FCHN board of directors, were featured panelists at the New England Healthcare Assembly’s annual trustee conference titled “An Industry in Flux: Leadership Challenges for Hospital Trustees,” which took place in Boston on Dec 8 and 9.

The conference brought together hospital administrators and trustees throughout New England and beyond to hear from nationally recognized speakers and others about pressing issues that hospital trustees face, including current challenges and how to ramp up quality in an era of transparency. Ryder and Hitchcock were part of a panel discussion called The Changing Profile of the Hospital CEO.

“Hospitals and health care systems are in the midst of transformations at a rapid pace and Gilly and I [were] pleased to share our experiences with others,” said Ryder. “The distinguished speakers and networking among participants provide[d] us with valuable information to consider and later communicate with our board of directors and leadership team.”
