Coleman Cooper, 4, of Lewiston tells Linda Tukey a knock-knock joke during the cookies and crafts play group at the Advocates for Children Parent Resource Center in Lewiston on Thursday. Play dates for children and their caregivers are held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays at the B Street Community Center. “He does not miss a day,” Tukey said about Cooper and his mother, Jen. The resource center provides parent education programs as well as family activities. “Our mission is to help parents with the challenges that we face when we are parenting,” said Tukey, a prevention agent for Advocates for Children.
