FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington Fitness and Recreation Center has extended the registration deadline for SnowCats until Friday, Jan. 13.

The UMF SnowCats Learn to Ski Program is an after-school activity for children in grades kindergarten to three. The program is coordinated by the UMF Fitness Recreation Center and held at Titcomb Mountain.

SnowCats begins Jan. 24 and runs from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays for five weeks.

All skiing abilities are welcome. UMF student instructors will work with groups of about six children on technique, slope safety and enjoyment of the sport.
