CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Two Carrabassett Valley Academy products posted strong results in recent national competitions.

Farmington native and CVA junior Max Richard found himself on his second podium of the season at Attitash’s Development FIS Slalom race in New Hampshire.

Richard topped a talented group of young skiers to take first place overall in the event. In Richard’s first slalom competition of the season two weeks prior, he also stood upon the podium with a second-place finish.

In his second season as a J2 alpine competitor, Richard hopes to qualify for the National Championships in March.

CVA alumnus Alison DiGravio took third place overall at the 2011 U.S. Freestyle selections, making her the top American at the event. As the top American, DiGravio earned her spot on this year’s World Cup circuit.

DiGravio will now set her sights on her upcoming World Cup competitions in Lake Placid, N.Y. and Deer Valley, Utah.
